Default Rear brake calipers sticking?

On the way home the other day when I was slowing for a stop sign I pressed the brake pedal and it went all the way to floor. When I finaly got the truck stoped I realized that the left rear brake rotor was smoking. The brake fluid got so hot that I had no brakes what so ever. I let it cool for about 30 min. or so then jacked the truck up to find the calipers was not locked anymore. I then drove the truck home and took the caliper off the truck and lubricated the sliders. The very next day the right rear did the exact same thing. The pads, rotors, and calipers have never been off the truck before now. I still had plenty of pad and rotor life left unill this happend. It is a 03 rcsb 1500 silverado with about 65k on it. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

I had a somewhat similiar problem. Bought my truck and it needed new brakes soon, about a month or so later I got all new rotors and pads, when I was done I drove it out of the garage but it would not move unless I gave it some gas. I drove around the block came back and my rotors started to smoke a bit, come to find out the guy that had my truck before didnt drive it much so the calipers would only back off so much on there own, not enough to clearance for the new pads and rotors and caused them to rub, new calipers were about 70 bucks each.

Thats kind of what I was thinking was wrong with these I just don't understand what would cause this if I haven't compressed the calipers. I probably will just get some new calipers and hope for the best. They got so hot the rubber seal around the pistons melted.
