Default Ran a Harley Ford......interesting results

I was merging onto the 15 in 'Vegas 3 or 4 days ago and had a Harley Ford beside me a on the on-ramp, we both wanted the lane as it merged so we both punched it.....suprisingly neither of us could pass one another. He let off to give me the lane and once we hit the highway he punched it again to come up level with me, he motioned me to run it out and we both took off down the highway headed south ( I was going to the airport) we both stayed right together down the 5 mile length of 15...when we came to the 215 exit we both took it and he ended up chasing me around it (my tires and sway-bars gave me the advantage there), on the 215 we were side-by-side again every time (I coundn't pass him, but he couldn't pass me either). We both took the airport exit and blasted down throught the airport tunnel at rather illegal speeds (it was 11:45 at night....not much traffic) and again were side-by side, we both took the incoming flight exit and pulled into the parking garage side by side (I was kinda worried at that point....thought he might be pissed off or a cop) He got out first and gave me a thumbs up !!!! , we talked for about 15 minutes while waiting for our flights to come in....he was suprised that an NA truck could keep up with his supercharged one (and frankly.....so was I)......all in all it was kinda fun

Just thought I'd share this with y'all

Nice run.... Some Harley owners think they are untaoughable because they drive a s/c truck. Gotta love thier reaction whe you go right by them.

stock harleys are ok, high 14 second trucks with a good driver. but watch out if they are modded.

I never ran the guy from a dead stop (we were both moving on the on-ramp when the lane started to merge) but I have a feeling he probably would have taken me that way. Like I said....I couldn't pass him, but he couldn't pass me, it wasn't like I killed him here, it was just kinda cool to know I could run with a S/C truck all the way to illegal triple digits. And the fact that he was cool about it made it even better

My best run to date is a 15.32....that's before the new exhaust, ls1 intake, new tuning, e-fans, and 1.75 rockers, I KNOW I'm faster than that now but with only bolt-ons it makes me very happy to be able to hang with a truck capable of mid-high 14s

well you do have well over 300 hp at the motor by now right? makes sense to me. a pulleyed, chip, filter HD will run 13s easily.

Man....I certainly hope so, and with the P&P heads and new cam going in soon it should move pretty good (they would have been in already but we just bought a new house and it AMAZING how fast the money can disappear furnishing a new house !!)
