Well I Saw One Run The Other Day At The Track And The Best Time He Could Pull With A Stick Was 13.80. And I Dont Even Know If He Was Stock. So They Have No Chance Of Seeing 12's Without Alot Of Bolt Ons.

5 spd auto vs 5 sp stick I think the auto might be quicker in the quarter. I think the point about 12's was if the stang was 3 car lengths ahead on the gas and he ran him down and passed him then he must have a 12 second truck. The mustangs are not the fastest out there but they are quicker than a ECSB pickup.....even one with the HO motor and exhaust and a tune

Exactly... to actualy CATCH UP TO a car like a Mustang GT, you'd hae to have some serious power. I'd say in the 400rwhp range. Not that they're that fast, it's simply the power it takes to catch up to someone that has the jump is, well, A LOT!

Try running the equivalent vehicle, let him get the jump, then try to catch up.

It was definitely a GT. I stayed even with him for a while and then started to pull on him. It was slightly downhill, but that doesn't make much difference. Maybe he did something dumb like put it in 5th gear?
