Default Radio Steering Wheel Controls

I have a 06 Sierra RCSB with steering wheel controls.

Is there anyway to reprogram the button layout besides repinning them as desired.

The lower left "Prog" button on the left side is the only button that skips through presets. Is this correct? So there is only one direction of skipping, no button to go other way.

The button above that looks like a person talking does what exactly?

Also there is no way to turn the headunit on and off from the wheel correct?

Purchase the truck used and there is no manual. Assuming some of this might have tied into onstar?

No way to program that I know of other than a re-pin. Button with someone talking is the trucks mobile phone, provided you have onstar there is no way to turn the radio on or off via the steering wheel.
