Default Raced a Ford...

I was cruising around town tonight and none of the Mustangs would race so when I got to a red light by myself I said f*ck it I'm gonna smoke them as far as I can. Right then a white car pulls up right beside me but I can't tell what it is and I don't care. Then it turns green and I proceed to floor it and smoke them across a 5 lane intersection then I see in my side mirror that it was a cop and he gave me a ticket What a shitty night but if I had to get a ticket at least it was worth it to burn em down right beside the cop.

That sucks... Maybe you can get away with it by telling the judge you have a very loud a exhaust and that is why it seemed you were accelerating hard.

I'll just take the class. It would still be cheaper than if they changed it to loud exhaust. Plus the tires were squealing really loud, his window was down, and he probably got it on his camera. He put it as exhibition of speed even though I wasn't speeding The funny this is I'm on my lunch break right now and when I went to work this morning this woman there already knew about it. She said she knows some cops and they called her and told her If I had the camcorder I could be famous now

Breakin' the law...Breakin' the law....

I'm surprised the cop didn't let you go for the simple fact that no one has probably ever burned out right next to him before. He was probably like WTF!!

ROTFL! If you had known that it was a cop next too you I would have said man you got ***** for that move! I'm surprised too that he didn't just let you go for that one. Probably the first time anyone burned out next to him in his squad car! That would have been awesome if you had a camcorder.

NOPE.....I managed to get myself an exibition ticket in Florida City. FL by doing the EXACT SAME THING !!!.....I SWORE the car beside me at the light was the Black Honda Prelude that had been egging me on for 5 miles coming out of Miami, when we FINALLY got free of traffic in Florida City we came to a red light and I JUST KNEW it was him beside me...well, the light turned green and I laid like 200 feet of rubber ('69 Nova...400cid w/dual Holley 600's) going through that intersection !!!
The next thing I saw was flashing lights from a Miami/Dade Sheriff behind me...he pulls me over and in a heavy southern drawl asks me "boy...WHAT THE HELL were you thinkin' doing a burnout like that with a cop BESIDE you ?????"....needless to say I didn't have a good enough reason !!!

my bad.

i almost did the same thing. but it was not as stupid, just bad luck i guess. i was travelling down a 2-lane road. there was a car infront of me and then a motorhome. the car in front of me passed the camper and i followed the car. we were going about 70 mph past the camper, then for some reason i decided to pass the car as well. i had a saturn with a DOHC so it was fun to drive. i passed that car going 90 MPH. a few seconds later i saw lights in my rear view mirror. it was an off duty cop in a dodge shadow that i passed. pulled me over and told me to slow down and nothing is worth driving that fast. no ticket. he complimented me on how my car really got up and moved.

You guys are nuts.

I got a "failure to start/stop properly" back when I was 18 or so. I powerbraked my '70 Olds in front of a group of drunk kids who were egging me on. There was a pig in a blanket parked on the next side street up.

As I'm sitting there, with the cop behind me - this dumb kid walks up and asks me if I wanna buy some form of drugs. (I forgot the word he used) (We're downtown in a mild sized city) I look at him with disbelief - he then looks behind me and says, "OH ****, that a cop?" YEAH?! "He got YOU pulled over?!" YUP! ...and he just runs off without saying anything.

I've heard of some horror stories up here in MA, where the police have measured the amount of rubber on the road, and fined the person by the foot. Not sure how true that is. One of those urban legends floating around the hot-rod crowd.
