When I ran my best ET (see sig) i was still running on the 87 Octane generic predator tune. It was also in mid march and was around 80 degrees on that day (I don't remember what the DA was). I also had problems with the truck getting into the rev limiter on the 1-2shift that day. Since then I've installed a custom tune and did the TB Bypass free mod. I would really like to go 14.9x in the 1/4 before I get headers, Y-Pipe, servo and Yank Converter. Do you all think it's possible on a 60 degree day, with the truck shifting right, custom tune, and the TB Bypass I could acheive 14.9x in the 1/4? Also, a friend of mine has a set of underdrive pulley's i could buy for cheap, should I even bother with these? One more thing, I was considering the Volant RAM Air tube that goes in place of one of the fog lights, has anyone had good results from this? Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks guys.

I think you would be really close if you didn't break into the 14's. A good tune will drop up to .5 off of a stock truck, and heat can sap up to .2. Your best wasn't really that hot, so I dont know how much better it would be with 60* temps, but between the cooler air, and a better tune I think 14's are possible. Good luck.
If that doesnt work, put a big cam in it, then you'll be there.

Best I was able to manage on my 04 crew was 14.8 in about 60 degree weather before headers and cam. I had transmission mods converter and asp pulley efans 3.90 gears intake exhaust and a tune. I picked up a half second with headers and cam and about a tenth with cutouts with good tuning on the cam/headers, oh and all my weight reduction. This time in 50-60 degree weather I should be closing in on 13's. Plus I should have my Eaton Posi with 4.10's and a fuddle racing 3000 converter in by then, so I should be able to see 13's easily.

Well, this is the second time that I have put a pulley on one of these trucks, so I guess I can say that I did do it again. You really won't feel much of a gain from this mod, but the way that I look at it is every little bit helps. I have no numbers to show what I picked up with it, but I'd probably do it again.

Anyone using the Volant Air Scoop? Seems like this would help, being that I've seen people pulling there headlight at the track. I've been told that pulling the head light at the track would produced gains of .2 in the 1/4 and I would think the Volant Air Scoop would do the same?
