QUESTION response needed thanks

hey tonight it was raining and i was in a closed parking lot with no one in it, tryin to c if the burban would get side ways it was a big deal with one of my friends, it did get side ways and then it kinda spun out and i think i rolled backwards and my suburban had all these CEL light on for a sec then the car shut off completely and then wouldn't start the first attempt i waited about 1 min and tryed again giviving a little gas and it started back up . did the fuel system shut off for protection and is it ok if this is a one time occurance?

i could be totally wrong here, but doesn't if your vehicle thinks you are going to roll over or get in an accident, it will shut off the fuel pump? again, i could be totally wrong. if i'm right, maybe your truck thought you were about to roll over and killed the fuel.

It's called a fuel inertia cutoff switch and I'm almost positive our trucks have them. I know Ford's do. There's also a low oil pressure fuel cutoff switch that will kill the pump if there's no oil pressure.

i think the inertia caused the oil to move around and check oil pressure light came on for a milli sec and then shut off and, caused the fuel to shut off but i learned my lesson not to do that again . thanks guys ..lol
