hey tonight it was raining and i was in a closed parking lot with no one in it, tryin to c if the burban would get side ways it was a big deal with one of my friends, it did get side ways and then it kinda spun out and i think i rolled backwards and my suburban had all these CEL light on for a sec then the car shut off completely and then wouldn't start the first attempt i waited about 1 min and tryed again giviving a little gas and it started back up . did the fuel system shut off for protection and is it ok if this is a one time occurance?

PLZ DONT SPAM ME ON HOW STUPID I'M B/C I TRYED ONCE AND IT WAS THE FIRST AND LAST TIME TO TRY THAT IN THE SUBURBAN

I moved this from the project section for obvious reason.

It's fine, don't do that again. Also don't give it gas when starting.

If you have no lights now it's probably fine.

i could be totally wrong here, but doesn't if your vehicle thinks you are going to roll over or get in an accident, it will shut off the fuel pump? again, i could be totally wrong. if i'm right, maybe your truck thought you were about to roll over and killed the fuel.

I've suggested that before in another thread...

It's called a fuel inertia cutoff switch and I'm almost positive our trucks have them. I know Ford's do. There's also a low oil pressure fuel cutoff switch that will kill the pump if there's no oil pressure.

i think the inertia caused the oil to move around and check oil pressure light came on for a milli sec and then shut off and, caused the fuel to shut off but i learned my lesson not to do that again . thanks guys ..lol
