I am trying to get some technical data on engine internals of the 4.2 I-6 used in my wifes new 04 TB, and which A4 transmission it uses. After finishing my Camaro, the mods needs to start on this little puppy, for her of course. Thanks all.

Ok, all I can find is:
Chevy LL8, 4.2 Inline 6 cylinder, Aluminum Alloy Block and Head.
93mm (3.66") Bore
102mm (4.01") Stroke
10:1 CR
Dual OHC w/ Variable Valve Timing, 4v per cyl. fed from SEFI
275rwhp @ 6,000rpm, which happens to coincide with factory shift points at WOT!
275ftlbs @ 3,600rpm.
I am guessing it is similar to the LS design, as far modular integrated sleeves, powdered rods, and hyper-u-cracked-it pistons
So, guessing boost will be out of the question until the CR can be lowered.
Looking for Header, tri-y would obviously have advantages on an inline design, and a quieter free flowing cat-back and Air intake for now. So far Airraid is the only one I found manufacturing an air intake. Anyone have other info?
Thanks again.

Never bought any Airraid myself, but hell I am using the FIPK on my Camaro now. I seen an add for an exhaust company wanting a donor vehicle to R&D Catback, hmm....to bad its out of area for my wife. Ugh.
So another 4l60e...my Camaro trans held up really well, hopefully this one will be just as reliable....without the abuse of several hundred of passes with Nitrous should be cake.
Thanks.
