Did GM ever make one that was not chrome? I'm seeing some on car-part.com and they're painted. I just want to make sure it's a genuine GM bumper before buying. I've already picked up my rear work truck bumper, I'm just looking for a front one and wondering if I'll have to buy aftermarket.

No, the rear bumper off a work truck is painted grey. I already bought one and it's ready to take to the powder coater. Now I'm just in search of a paintable front bumper. If I have to, I'll buy aftermarket but I'd prefer to keep it GM

Yeah, that's the route I'm going to go if GM never made a paintable front bumper. They're just flimsy is all

Nope, it's going in the storage shed with the rest of the original condition parts.

i dont think they ever made a paintable 03+bumper, Only ones ive seen are the ebay ones.

I thought work trucks had F & R bumpers, both painted. Or was only on '99-02?

Joe, I hope if u find 1, it looks better on inside of bumper than my original rusty chrome GM !!!

yeah i thought the WT had the gray front bumpers as well
