Ill,

You might want to try this also. Try looking for the vehicle online. Find the exact truck that you want with the options and the color. Something basically that you can live with unless you are looking for something specific. The send online a request for quote to that dealership. Trust me, I have bought my last 2 trucks this way. My 04 Sierra 1500 crew cab listed for 32,600 and they sold it to me for 24,500 with discounts and rebates and all. And that was no haggling whatsoever. They give you the best deals online like this.

And if you do go to the dealership to make a deal, rather than online. Find the truck you like, go in there make the deal on the truck. Make the deal on the truck only. Tell them that you have someone buying your truck outright or whatever. Get the best deal on the truck that you can. If you do this later at night, you can tell them that you will be back tomorrow to get it and seal the deal. Be sure to get a copy of the price if possible. When you go back, say that the guy backed out on the buying of your truck and that you will now need to trade in. They should still honor the deal from before. I've done this before also, they'll either honor the deal or back out because they're pissed.

I highly suggest doing the online method though. And if you can, find a dealership outside of Harris County. I bought mine in Brenham and saved about 700 dollars on taxes.
