Default problem... keep cats or not??

ok so i put some spun cats on my truck cause i like not having rasp and it sounds pretty nice going thorugh that 3''y and cutout... but ..... before i put them on was the fist time i rode in my truck with no cats and it was loud as **** and u could just feel how hard the cam hit at idle..... not so much now with them on...

i really want to keep them on but yet i really want to take them suckerz off..... opinions???

if i do it it will prolly be tomorrow morning... god my exhuast guy is goin to kill me... it took almost 2 hours gettin the cats welded up cause it was such a tight fit.....

get rid of them cats and put a 3" single in/out 24" case magnaflow.
we just put one on my friend of mine's stock 5.3 rcsb with pacesetters and ory. you can barely hear it a idle once it warms up. cruising speed is the same, but once you romp on it the sound wakes up.

i have no cats and a Gibson catback dumped. idle is pretty quiet, sounds good with a little rumble at cuising speed and is pretty loud at wot. my gf said i cant change my exhaust, it puts her to sleep EVERYTIME she gets in the truck

I would keep them on. The difference is loudness, not hp or torque. If you want them louder, then get louder mufflers.

Also, remember the newer generation of buyers, on the average, are more environmentally concerned with mods than the others. Down the road, the lack of cats might hurt your resale.

i still have my cats sitting in the shop and they can easily be welded back into the exhaust where the cutouts are now.
