Default probably a stupid question, but here it goes..

well my trucks finally running and drivable. ive done a couple laps around town without a problem. winter is basically here in indiana, car shows and drag racing will come to a end after this month. with this being said, this weekend is the lsx shootout right here in my backyard. i live 25 mins from the track and id love more then anything just to be able to cruise there with the truck. problem is, im untuned, with the mods in my sig. would it be ok, just this one time, to drive to the track just so i can have a feeling of accomplishment?? my plan was to have my truck ready for this show, but obviously was cut short. can i get away with LIGHTLY cruising up there?? bad idea??

Does it even idle, I would guess you would be two footing it if its still on the stock tune.
Personally I would not, esp. not without the ability to scan it to see how everything looks.

Oh yeah. Suprisingly it idles really well. Ill definetly have to 2 foot it. But it actually isnt that bad. It really suprises me how well it does on factory tune.

I drove mine daily back and forth to work, 2 footing it for over a week, till the tuner could get me in. You shouldn't have a problem driving it that little if it idles at all on its own.

I drove my truck after switching from the 4.8 to 5.7 for a month, even drove from TX to IN and back. You have a little bigger cam though...did you swap from a 5.3? If so I say go for it! Just don't get carried away with the loud pedal.

Swapped from a 4.8. I mean the little bit ive driven it, it did great. Itll idle around 500 on its own. Stutter a bit on take off. But while cruising, it just humms on down the road. I was hoping i would get some positive answers. Lol. Looks like the maiden voyage for the truck is to lsx shootout. Going to be awesome!

This will be the last drive for the year. Next week. 4.56's and posi get ordered and injectors get pulled and sent out for Resizing. And of course alot more work now that winters here and no shows or people will be out cruising. Gives me a chance to get hammering on this project.
