Default Price this truck.

05 GMC reg cab 4x4 loaded. 5.3 auto charcoal with tan interior.42000k. Salesman wants 16,500 plus tax .07 = $17655. Then I'll have to add tag and title also. Is this too much. Seems that way for me. I've search the sale section and autotrader. Just wanted one more extra opinion before I buy.

I think that truck should be more like 13,5-14,000. My o7 Reg. cab z71 I have for sale for 27k and that's with a $6k supercharger. I really think you could find a better deal. good luck

I agree with the $13-$14k I bought my truck when it was barely 2 years old (about the same as you are looking at) with 25k miles ECSB charcole grey non 4x4 for 17ish out the door

I'd tell him you'll give him $16k out the door and be done with it! Those trucks are a dime a dozen....

That seems about right. Maybe a little high. I traded in my 04z71 LT with some stuff done to it with 65k on it and got 18,500

I think so too, just a little high, worth it if it is exactly what you want

Never let a purchase get personal, that's when you lose. Tell them what you think is a fare price if they say no thanks simply get up and walk away. They'll call in the next 12 hours. If they do don't answer, let them stew. Go back in a week and see if it's there. If it is say your offer is now 1K less then last week and it's still sitting there. Remember these people are car dealers, they deserve NO respect, they give all salesman a bad name.
