Default Power steering is moaning

I checked the fluid and it is fine. Any ideas of what could be wrong?

When does it moan? When you max out your turns or constantly?

When I am turing at slow speeds, like pulling in to a parking spot. General driving. I does not do it all the time either. That is why I am confused.

Had a similar problem on my 2000 Silverado, brought it in to service department, this was about 4.5 years ago so if I remember correctly and they lubed the steer shaft and replace the rack.

My wife's car (2001 Grand Prix) just started doing this too. I hope someone knows what it is.

What did you do to fix it? Was her fluid level low? I don't see any leaks on the GP pump or hoses.
