Possible water pump making chirping sound?
Have a chirping sound coming from the front of engine. Dosent sound like a idler or alternator. Best part is trying to listen to anything with the procharger noise. Also does the clutch fan make noise when going bad? Is the water pump known to make noise? I dont see weep hole dripping but could smell coolant.

Another possible thing could be tensioner for ac belt. If it is the water pump dont for get to tig the pulley on the snout Pat.

726', was the chirping preceded but intermittent cooling?
I'm getting a little sound(along w/lots of motor sound lol)but have spotty cooling. Yesterday(101 on my mirror gauge)but it was blowing really cold on two! Around town. When we go back up to Dallas this weekend it will be really warm(but cooler outside temps)in the truck, running at a constant 70mph. This his baffles me but I'm sure someone can explain it!

I am pretty sure mine is coming from my water pump, going to swap the pump and cross my fingers. I dont have a welder so I had a buddy weld my waterpump pulley on last week, drove the truck home and parked it. The next time I started it the noise was there, I think he got it too hot. I knew I should have just done it myself but it was not my welder so I just went with the flow.

Don't worry I will take care of this next weld job.

Didnt get a chance tonight to look at it. Pat how did you eliminate it being an ac problem? Same here Im going to just swap the pump Saturday crossing my fingers. Haha also getting a shorter belt and smaller pulley that being laying around.
