Default Ported heads and Comp Cams for HEMIs

It's nice to keep an eye on the other makes out there.

My brother, who owns a HEMI Ram, informed me that Patriot Performance is now offering heads for the new Hemi, and Comp Cams has some cams too. I checked their websites and sure enough, the parts are on the street now. He's planning on a H/C swap late this summer, but I advised him against Patriot's heads.

We'll see how they do, and if they can crack the computer to take full advantage of these mods.

We will have a write up in the Nov. 2005 Mopar Muscle magazine. Let him take a look at the results, he will not want to miss it.

This write up,is it a engine tested on a engine dyno?Seems the guys that are installing into there trucks ,the 2 of the 3 comp grinds are having trouble with drivebility issues.Any links to successfull installs and results? When comp came out with there new product line they had some super results to post, there numbers all came from a engine in a dyno room. Not real life tested. If I am wrong please post links or info.

Can you post where you've seen the guys with driveability issues? I'd like to send it to my brother. I was wondering how the new cams would work without a good way to tune for them.

Also check out www.HemiTruckClub.com and talk to the engine moderator ( can't remember his name/handle right now ). He installed the middle cam and springs ( funny, the LS1 Comp beehive 918 springs fit the Hemi motor ). Had some issues but got them resolved. Took some 25 start/stop cycles to get the friggin computer to chill out and let the engine idle. It is also kicking out some CEL codes, mainly relating to the lower vacuum being pulled with the heavier lobes.
