what about condensation. cold water in a hot engine bay=water/sweat. water in intake=no good. if im understanding your idea straight, i dont think the air would be in your refridgerator long enough to drop temps.

ive heard of people filling coffee cans with ice and running about 30 yds of metal line wrapped up in the can with the ends of the metal tubing splicing into the gas lines. just another idea for your cheap mans mods tell us how your experiments go if you do it.

instead of a solenoid just leave a tiny hole in the bottom open. just a small leak that you never have to wory about.

Cooling the fuel line would help some I think.
Just agreeing with the other post. It can't hurt right???
Kind of a PITA for what you may get out of it though.

sounds like a good idea if you had a reason to need to cool the air, but w/o some fi creating hot air it seems as if it would just be easyer to not worry about it.

tiny hole in the bottom won't help at the track, let them see you dripping as you pull up and you'll be kicked out as fast as your truck will go. the air moving thru wouldn't be too exessive for condensation, I'd think that it'd get dissolved in the air as fast as it could condensate. interesting experiment and probably a waste of time, but if you have nothing better to do go for, you may learn something in the process.

ive never put my truck on a track. 1/8 mile track that is kindof close but $35 to race. and there is one in canton but dont know where it is. there is a 1/4 mile track in hattisburg (hubcity?) dont know how much it is to race but its too far to drive.
but if i were to go to a track i would have the hole threaded so i could plug it if need be?
im still thinking..
im making a ramair setup for my friends eclispe. well im goin to try to.
ill keep you guys updated on my stupid idea.
hopefully it will work?
any more opinions??

Dude. Your signature is corvetteforum huge.

Wind chill factor at 65mph should cool the air down pretty good. A good ram air from a cold air source would be better.
