Default pissed off at flex a lite

Well what I thought would be a nice trip to NE drag way for the super chevy show which they hold every year turned out to ruin my day. I was cruizing down rt95 with my buddy in his dmax in front of me and I look down and see my temp gauge swinging to the right fast, then the check coolant temp light came on. I was like **** this shutting her down on the side of the road. The fans were not on and that was the first thing I thought of. The control box was getting power but they were not kicking on and i tried ******* with them temp setting and still nothing. We cut the box out and hard wired it and just used the main fuse to shut it off when we stopped. So flex a lite is getting their *** chewed out come monday morning. The moral of this story is always wire in a manual fan switch just incase this happens which I am doing as we speak.

Id look into a Dakota Digital or a Delta Current Control controller.

I drove for about a week without my fans being hooked up and it only went over 210 once. This is in the houston heat and waiting at stop lights. Needless to say, my heart was pounding at the stoplights but if I was moving I didn't have a problem. On the other hand, Im glad the fans are on and working now.
