Default Pics of my current project.

The project we are currently working on is my 69 El Camino. Since half of it is a truck I figured I could post it in here.

This was my first car. When my dad and I picked it up it was a one owner, completely stock car. We spent the next 8 months restoring it to showroom condition and I drove it for a few years like that and had a blast with it.

Then we decided to build it to drive. So we installed a Hotchkis TVS, 17" boyds and disk brakes. These mods really woke the car up on the street, but it still didn't perform in the horespower department because it still had the original 250 HP, 2-barrel, 350.

So now the engine swap is under way . It now has a Magnacharged LQ4 with AFR 205's and a Lingenfelter gt2-3 cam backed by a speed inc. maximum evil 4L60E. We still have a few things to do to get it running but we are getting closer everyday. Here are a few pics of the engine compartment but no body shots because I didn't want to roll it out of the shop. Let me know what you think. Also I would like to give a special thanks to my dad for everything

Thanks for all the compliments guys. The headers are actually Mac midlengths for an F-body. The passenger fit pretty well with just a small modification to cross member, but the drivers side header had to be modified. We actually bored out the inside welds, left the outside tach, moutned them, swung them in towards the motor because it was hitting the lower control arm, and re-welded it. They fit real nice in there now.
