Those look like regular 1500 wheels. The same ones my dad has on his 01 Chevy 4.8L ext cab.

Yeah, they're optional on the 1500s. I like'em. Probably find a set for cheap too.

Tony, "Nineball" has a set of stock GMC 16" Chrome factory mags for sale, (the good ones, not the stamped steel ones). No tires though. They were on his truck for 1000 miles if that.

BTW, good looking truck. How did it get Tahoe wheels on it?

Maxmumboom - I'm really not into "Dubs". On a truck, I like a 16-17" wheel with some meaty looking tires. Plus with the motor going in I think it'll get better traction on the street with a little more sidewall. I'm going to find a pic of the Escalade wheels and check'em out. Thanks

Fast 4.8 - I'll have to find a picture of the stock chrome wheels to see if I like them. Thanks for the heads up.

Evidently, the previous owner of the truck put on quite a bit of aftermarket stuff. I'm assuming it had wheels on it and the guy took them off when he traded it in. He probably found a set of Tahoe wheels for cheap and slapped them on there. I really don't know.

Those wheels are actually a pretty good street wheel...easy to kep clean and don't have too much mass.

I use to have a set of Convo-Pros on my 355 S10. First, they didn't have a clear coat. Second, they had about five thousand little crevices to dig brake dust out of. It took me longer to clean the wheels than it did to wash and wax the whole truck. That's why I'm going to stick with a set of factory wheels. If there as light as the wheels on my Dad's '99 2500HD that would be great. You don't realize how light those wheels are until you have to put the steel wheel spare on.
