Performance chip
#1
Hello Everyone, I have an '03 Chevy Tahoe with a 5.3L v8. I've installed a K&N cold intake system ( definitely noticed the difference), Flowmaster catback ehaust (fairly nice sound slight power increase), and JBL headers (no real difference in sound slight power increase). My friends are saying next to installing a supercharger, my best bet would be to get a performance chip. I see a lot of them on line all boasting HP increases of up to 50 hp. Prices range from $50 to $500 dollars. My question is what chip do you guys recommend that will give me the most bang for the buck. Thank you.

Forget the chip and get a tune. Either a mail order tune (Blackbear or Wheatley) or find a local dyno tuner and have them do it. Your waisting your money on a "chip" or hand held tuner. IMO.

what's a chip? as far as I know we haven't "chipped" control modules since OBDII?
