Default Pat Tillman

I just turned on CNN and saw that former arizona cardinal Pat Tillman died in action in afghanistan yesterday. He left the league and a large salary to serve his country, he as well as all our other troops serve as the ultimate role models. I am not a very religious person but my prayers go out to his family and all other familys that have loved ones overseas. I am not sure this is appropriate for this board but i was just very moved and saddened upon hearing this news

I think stories like this belong anywhere and everywhere. He made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedom and prosperity we all enjoy and sometimes take for granted. God Bless Him and his family. My brother will be going over at the end of this month. The only way I can desribe the sadness and despair I felt is to relate it to how I felt at 12 when my mother told me she had terminal cancer and had 3 months to live. She is alive and happier than she has ever been today....12 years later. I guess faith is all we really have. Sorry for the long post.

I hear his brother left a promising career in baseball to do the same and is still in the thick of things somewhere. May God bless the Tillman family.

not only does he and his family deserve our condolences, but as you stated.. all the troops and their families deserve recognition.
