Default Paint problems????

Anyone here have any problems with there stock paint? I was washing my roof the other day and I noticed that it was rather coarse. It felt like damn sand paper practically. I washed it well, and still it feels coarse. I got to looking at it after it was dry and you can see tiny spots everywhere into the clearcoat that dont look good. I also have the same problem on the tops of my bedrails but not as bad as my roof. I think the paint on my truck is just crap basically and want to know if anyone else has had these problems. I am going to go into the dealership and bitch but I know I am going to get the run around about parking under trees etc. The shitty part is I dont park under trees at my house, always wash it, always has wax, take great care of it and my paint looks like its all messed up. My family has all fords and they never wash or even remotely take care of there vehicles and there paint is fine, even my dads **** box 02 ram with its rusting chrome rims has no paint problems. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated, I need to get this taken care of soon. Thanks.

mine was like that too, and the dealer offered to take care of it. the more i thought about it, the more i think it was bird crap that caused the bald spot. don't know though, could be a different situation, how bout some pics?

You wont be able to see it in pics, it would have to be an extremely close up shot. Its not just one spot like bird crap its all over the roof, and on the topside of my bed rails. The parts that get direct sunlight. It looks like little tiny blue dots everywhere, like when the clearcoat is being eaten at. Have no idea what its from, hopefully my dealer will do something like that with mine. It pisses me off that I take such good care of it and my paint ends up being crap anyway. What color trucks do you guys have?

Thats probably why, I guess the dark colors don't hold up as well. But still my truck is an 02' That I have had about a year and a half. My paint should not be doing this. What does the dealer do in a situation like this? I don't want to repaint my truck, and if I do repaint my truck I sure as hell dont want a dealer to do it. But I want it taken care if before my truck is completely screwed and I'm out of warranty.

take it to a dealer and see what they say, couldn't hurt. and if they reject it under warranty, take it to another dealer, and another.
