good luck. im taking this weekend off to take the hood/fenders/exhaustfront support off so by next weekend i should be able to pull it and the trans together.

well its out and on the stand. Quik probably has it pretty close to being down to the block by now. he has to rebuild his 408 then hes going TT.

hell probably chime in later tonight... with some pics hopefully

are you doing this cause you want to? you do know you dont have to take any of that **** off except exhaust and front support right? no need to take the hood and fenders off

lol. this isnt on my truck. its on my buick. hood and fenders are coming off to paint the inside of the engine bay and inner fender jams since im changing colors and also the bare interior.

i got it were its just rotating assmebly. pulled one rod/piston out...the bad one and looked at bearings...noticed they will need to be replaced, crank looks good so far but bearings im not happy with. looks like some debris got in there. that piston is fucked tho. the upper ring is stuck where its at, the smashing of the face of piston must of caused it to get stuck. also cylinder wall has a couple marks in it that im not to happy about. the 408 might becoming a 410 if it will go that far
