Default p1345 ckp/cmp correlation fault

What does that mean, since i got the new engine in, it has been telling me that, is it just bad sensors, or is it something more complicated than that???

Truck details? What engine?

If its for the 97 in your sig (with a vortec engine) then your distributor is not in right. Get a scan tool and see what your CMP retard is at, it should be within +-2 degrees.

I pulled my distributor out the other day to change the gear because the teeth had become worn and causing a random misfire. When I put it back in I got that dreaded code. I turned the dizzy a little counter clockwise, cleared the code and it didn't come back. I later had it scanned to see what CMP retard was at and found it was at -6 degrees. I turned the dizzy a little more counter clockwise and got it to -1*.

My 97 3500 had all the symptoms of worn dizzy gear and leaky injectors which i found out to be common on these but when i tore it down neither was the issue so i reassembled and truck ran mint except pinging under load. Tweeked the timing and thats when i got the same code. Tried for a bit to adjust timing and figured out i was a tooth out. Redid the dizzy and got my power back. For anyone with the same issues i figured it out to be the intake plenum gaskets instead of all the other components.
