p0315 code and gas gauge

Default p0315 code and gas gauge

My 2004 silverado put up a p0315 code. and when its set the gas gauge goes to E. if you reset it with a chepo code reader it goes to F.
any ideas.

That code appears to be for the crank sensor not learned.

It shouldn't affect the the instrument cluster. Possibly there using the same ground circuit and there is a short.
