What to do about Code P0315
#1
Just installed my newly tuned pcm, from PCMFORLESS, and the check engine light came on. Went to Autozone had the diagnostic tool hooked up, code P0315, Crank sensor variation relearn. Can`t take it to the dealer, don`t want to take it out and send it back. Any suggestions. Any one in L.A. that can help?
By the way the tune is awsome. Feels like a totally different truck.

I too have the same situation.
This is where the dreaded (not that its really that terrible) crankshaft relearn procedure id needed. Herter said "You'ld think it was really important, but all the books say it isn't. I did have a guy say that his idle improved after the procedure though." When I asked him how much it would cost, he said "Got any friends at the dealership?" "If so, it won't be that bad, if not... about 65 bucks."
I left it alone, but I got a new truck nut that works with me @ autozone that goes to tech school for automotive tech. He told me to come see him, and he could hook me up.
It's all about knowing people.

I've had this code on the last two nelson PCM's - I was thinking a Tech II could clear the code - didn't know they have to do the relearn procedure (or is this the same thing?)...wonder what the chances are of it happening again with the same PCM?
