Not bashing, just bringing up a point. All the HP calculators say you would have to be running approx 380rwhp to runs those times(13.7). Of course, those calculators can not factor in weather, elevation, tires, gears and such. So there is definatley somthing there that is helping this truck runs those times with less HP then is required.Guys on this site have run times faster than the norm also. Sometimes it just works out for some people. Unfortunatley im not that lucky

Yeah, that is what I am thinking and what is it? So maybe he is a honest guy that does have a factory freak, but what makes it a factory freak?

http://dynoperformance.com/search_details.php?ID=488 This site is a good one, they do not lean towards a brand name. As you can see at 5750 rpm the 5.7 hemi is only making 190 rwhp.

It did make 253.9 at 5310 rpm's. On a HP calculator that puts it at around a 15.7 in the 1/4 in stock form. That would mean that 58 more rwhp dropped it 2 full seconds It's definatley more than horsepower helping it make those times.I guess all of the mods just compliment each other for it to run its best. Remember Lotsofuns truck? Low 13's with bolt ons

heres a few more things the calculators dont adjust for.....aerodynanics and suspension mods ......for the aerodynamics i have grill blocks that help alot for the track....suspension mods i have spring clamps which are a cheap way of traction bars that work i have also removed the swaybar.... both are good for better traction.....most of the guys get 2.35 60ft with stock tires.....i get 2.0060ft times with stock tires and (no juice) most people know that if you can drop 1 tenth in your 60ft it will drop 2 tenths in your 1/4 mile so theres 6 tenths there that the calculators wont show because of traction mods and someone that can launch the truck the right way

also there are others that run 13s in their hemi trucks (without nitrous) i was the first.... it took them alittle time to get it but they are there

All trucks aint aerodynamic, including ours, dodge and especially ford. Dodge Rams are hudge for their truck line. 2wd stand taller than chevys 4x4's. Did you ever figure out how many tenths your grill blocks dropped your 1/4.

it doesnt just take hp to run good times.....if you cant launch your truck because of traction then you can all the hp and still not run very good its all in the suspension.......look at some of the srt10 guys they have 500hp and some of them cant get into the 13s thats because they cant get the power to the ground and launch like they should.... with a good driver and some traction mods they should run well in the 12s

the grill blocks dropped my 1/4 mile 1 to 1.5 tenth and gave me 2.5 mph and only cost me $10 bucks.....they work good on the top end for more mph they help cut the air which is better areodynamics....

also lowering the back of the truck 3 inches helps with areodynamics and weight transfer

if you go back and see that dyno it showes 253hp at 5300rpm with only 1600 miles on the truck most hemi owners know that they dyno much better after 3k miles also that truck chould of had the big *** 20inch wheels on it that will kill alot of hp ....i can show you plenty of then dynoing 270 to 280....my dyno showed 311hp at the wheels with a few cheap mods
