didnt you mention that you were thinking of getting a camaro after selling your truck? i would think that if you have an itching for a fast car, go with the 05 GTO. completely stock its still damn fast, and with a few bolts ons/other mods, iam sure you could be in the high 12s and very happy.

Truck will be cheaper long run I bet. You'll get a GTO and be happy with it stock for like 24 minutes. Then you'll start thinking about what you can do to make it better than the same old GTO that everyone else has. At least with a truck you will hit the limit on mods at the same price of a GTO. Take the difference between a stock truck and a stock GTO and add it to the GTO, that's what you're lookin at long term

It doesn't sound like you really "need" a truck since you were getting rid of the old one.

I'd do one of the following...
03-04 Cobra
Used Z06 (30,000 range)
Used C5 (25000 range)
GTO

If you can wait and see what's going to happen in the '06 model year for trucks, I'd do it. I know how rumors have gone around in the past, but I have a feeling that there might be one last hurrah for this platform. Maybe a RCSB SS?

Maybe a low mileage, rare-colored F-body? Like an SOM car, or maybe a Hugger Orange SS?

Only buy the goat if you already own a truck. Sports cars are for girls.
