I run Mobil One 5w30 and AC Delco filters in both of mine.

ive been runnin mobil 1 10w30 every 3k but im making the switch to royal purple after seeing that one test that came up a month or so ago.

Valvoline 5w-30 and Wix 51522 until 100k miles after that Valvoline Max Life 5w-30 and Wix 51522.......I have 190k miles and no problems at all.

Hay thanks for the replys I think ill also swich to 10-w 30 after 75k. In my last truck I used 0-w30 AmsOil I might also use that not cheep though $ 8.72 per quart I ran 8,000 miles per change on that oil AmsOil said its good for 25,000 miles with a filter change every 6,000 miles I would never go that long though no matter what thay say.

Just curious, why isn't anyone using the GM Oil Life System? I change my oil when the Oil Life System tells me to. The oils we are all using are all quaility oils, and will last the 6,000 to 10,000 miles in some cases.

I've screwed up 2 times in 5 years by not changing the oil for 7k miles and the oil was dark brown and also lost some oil in the process....about 1/2 quart to 1 quart.

If you drive a stock truck like a nrmal human it's probably ok to use the OLS but I don't think they're any normal humans here.
I change outmy oil before/after a day of hard use, racing, about every 3000 miles.
