get a real tune, then see what it does. I bet tq managment and traction control are your culprits.

The difference in my 99 and my 03 is huge. seems like when I mashed it the 99(cable driven tb) would get out a lot quicker than the 03(DBW tb). but the 03 pulls harder up top. The new trucks are tuned different and it makes them feel wierd stock vs stock compared to the 99-02's.

Your mph is there for a mid 15 second run, it just needs help out of the hole. Hence the traction control, torque management, and those 3.42's.

Get a real tune and put a TB stall in it and you'll be running high 14's.

....just my .02...

**I wouldnt do anything to it until you figure out those other problems, either have them fixed or tell em to get you another truck. I wouldnt have even bought that programmer. every once in a while they have one that has a few issues.

The 03 EC I had ran as fast as your cc and it was a stock 4.8 w/3.42s.

The TM in the PCM program is holding it back. The 5.3L are really choked up by this. You need a custom tune to appreciate the power. Those handhelds do not compare to custom tunes. Opt for 80% of TM taken out and you'll feel the difference. GM is on a downswing in quality lately! I totally agree on that!

I have sections for torque managment delete but is 80 percent safe? There are 3 different areas I can reduce/remove with the pred, rpm vs mph, upshift, and abuse mode. Yes my 60 foot times were 2.4 to 2.5 with no wheel spin (2wd or 4 wd).

put on a tranny cooler and keep the stall close to stock and that shouldn't happen.

no they wont see it if you remove it.

...thats also why you keep your original pcm and have the tuner send you a new one. so you can swap them out if a problem arises
