Had an 07 Silverado in my shop today, very different than the previous gen. The rear frame is boxed in completly, like Dodge, the frame is narrower, the air intake tube snorkel has lost 90 % of the donkey dick noise suppressor, the engine cover kicks ***, the electric pedals, and dash are cool. However I did not like the cheap fake leather look on the door panels, plastic moulded to look like leather, what happened to the leather trim??? the leather seats in this LTZ Chevy look like VW leather, all grainy. The speedo caps at 200 KM.The taillights look like a Dodge but the 20" wheels are real nice. I will get some pics next time I get another 07 thru my shop.

 

the 99-02's were the best looking silverados ever. 03-05 gmc's were the best looking gm full size trucks.

 

I wasn't big on the door panel material myself. I took one out the other day to lunch. It was a black crew cab Vortec Max LTZ (46,400 US Dollars worth). Aside from the huge overkill in torque management, I liked it. I would like to see the tach go to 7k though instead of 6k.

I saw an GMC extended cab 2wd in white on the road. All I can say is he didn't want to play but it did look good lowered with the factor 17's

96-98 silvy is the best body ever made, simple yet defined!
