Default non SS Trailblazer sites/info

Unfortunately my budget doesnt allow for an SS. I was looking at a GTO but, thats not too practical (weather wise or family wise), so I have come to the conclusion that a Trailblazer would be a better choice. Plus, I like the style of them. I have a few questions though. It will still be my toy and I would still like to mod it, so.

What kind of power mods are available for the TB?
What kind of power can be made with a TB V6?
Are there any TB specific sites? If so, where.

Any and all info would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Tig, I was in the same boat as you last week. My girl's car got totalled, so we were looking at GTO's, SS Trailblazers and some other SUV's. Of course I wanted to get the TBSS, but she wanted something a little more civilizied, so she got a '06 Buick Rainier with the I-6 and 2wd. It runs OK, but it's no SS. The best site is probably http://forums.trailvoy.com/ There's alot of members there with I-6 TB's/Envoys/Rainiers. There's not too many mods out there for these motors though. About the only things are Cold Air Intakes, catback and PCM tunes (PCM for less has a $99 special right now for I-6 motors). I think someone is developing a header for it too. They all have 4L60's, so you can always throw in a shift kit or converter. One guy has a turbo on his, but it is a homemade job, I think he was putting down around 325 RWHP. The latest news is that Banks might be working on a supercharger kit, but I haven't seen too much info about it yet.

You might try and see if the SS fits in your budget now. GM just today announced 0% financing for it's "Presidents Day Sale". It might help get you into one. The one I drove last week hauled some serious *** for a 5000+lb SUV. I may end up getting one for myself.

If you know for sure you want a non-SS, search around for a leftover 2006 model. There is a $5750 to $6500 Cash Allowance on new '06 TB/Envoy/Rainier, depending on which model you choose and which area of the US you live in. That's what we did and it helped a TON on the payments.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that you can get a 5.3 in the short wheel base TB/Envoy/Rainier now. I think it's rated at 300hp and 330tq. Might be a good alternative to the SS. A sleeper SS.

My wife has a 03 trailblazer. great Car for family and dd use. push button 4 wheel drive so she likes that.
Mods are cold air kit, exhaust. Runs great quickest v6 we have ever owned. Plus we got the 3rd row seat option on ours. 285 horses out of a v6 not to shabby.

Yeah there's a few, but pretty rare to find. Get a dealer to do a search for one. Might have to special order one from Chevy to get what you really want.
