Just curious...how are mods selected?

 

We throw everyones name in a hat and pick the new mod out.

Seriously though there are a few things I can think of off the top of my head. Conduct on the site plays a big factor. It's good to be an active member of the site. It's also good to be a little knowledgeable in the area you moderate. Moderators are not expected to know everything though and really are just normal members that help enforce the site rules(which there aren't many). On this site there doesn't need to be many rules because people are pretty damn awesome here.

There are lots of guys in the truck sections alone that qaulify but, only 4 at a time can moderate any one section.

We're basically just janitors that keep the hallways clean for the big wigs...nothing glorious about this job.
