no torque wrench

i dont have a torque wrench and need to only torque some knock sensors to like 10-15 ftlb's i heard if your over do them there are crystals in there that can crush? is 15 ftlbs a little past snug?

Gotta fish scale? measure your wrench from center of the bolt to the end where you can hook the scale. Convert to feet. Take this number times 15 and thats how many pounds you need to pull the scale to to hit 15 ft/lbs. Make sure the scale stays parallel to the wrench as you pull.

I'm a huge fan of "snug." Been using it on my bikes for years while all my friends clamor over the torque specs for silly things like oil pan bolts, valve cover bolts, etc. Snug is definitely tight enough on things like that. It's all in the feel...
