Just snug is fine. Like putting in your oil drain plug

Gotta fish scale? measure your wrench from center of the bolt to the end where you can hook the scale. Convert to feet. Take this number times 15 and thats how many pounds you need to pull the scale to to hit 15 ft/lbs. Make sure the scale stays parallel to the wrench as you pull.

Definitely just snug, but not loose. A knock sensor that is too tight will be over sensitive, and a loose knock sensor could rock around and give a false signal...

I'm a huge fan of "snug." Been using it on my bikes for years while all my friends clamor over the torque specs for silly things like oil pan bolts, valve cover bolts, etc. Snug is definitely tight enough on things like that. It's all in the feel...
