Default no love for the 6.0

I love how they worship the hemi because it has higher advertised ratings than the ford or nissan engines. Shame they don't mention how it compares to the LQ9 or the LS6. Besides, who cares about advertised numbers anyway since the only way a hemi can beat a silverado SS is to use the lightest possible truck available with the hemi engine. I'd like to see that race with the LQ9 in a regular cab shortbed 1500, or even try the hemi in a extended cab 4x4 against the SS. Anybody want to place any bets on the outcome.

From the numbers I've seen, the Hemi is rated at 345hp, but regularly gets rear wheel dyno numbers in the 260s and just over 300tq. Not many people have dynoed a 345 rated hp SS (because of the AWD), but a stock one put down 290+ hp to the wheels.

I wouldn't care if a Hemi was faster, "Sewer Rat may taste like pumpkin' pie, but I'd never know 'cause I wouldn't eat the filthy mo' fo'".

Yeah, I've been to Capitol a few times, and I'll go back as soon as the weather gets right. Are there any local guys who specialize in LS1's and such, or do you mail order your parts? Sounds like you got a badass T/A on your hands there. I'll keep an eye out for ya next time I'm at the track with my truck or my Cutlass.

Post up next time you hit Capital BADMOFO. Evil, me and a bunch of other guys go regularly, and race either the cars or the trucks. Do some of this too after racing.>>>>>

I think I read a while back that Dodge benchmarked the LS series engines when developing the HEMI. Its a nice motor with a lot of potential. I even like the way the RCSB versions look. They are a bit on the heavy side though. I still like my stripper RCSB GMC better. Performance seems to be about the same as mine because my truck is about 500 lbs lighter.
