Default Nitrous Kit or Headers and CamShaft?

Friend of mine has a NOS Dry Nitrous Kit for sale. It has everything except the bottle and all parts have never been used. He is asking $400 for it but would sell it to me for $300 (I did computer work for him). I'm considering buying the kit, but I'm not sure if I should spend the money on it or continue saving for headers and camshaft.

Figured I would ask what PerformanceTrucks.net would do?

A shot will wake your truck up more then headers, cam depending on what you spray, but I would keep saving for the cam, headers...

It of course depends on what that kit comes with but a dry nitrous kit without a bottle is worth about $150 to me. He's not giving you a deal.

Yah I second that. You can buy a brand new kit from HSW------> for cheap

I didn't look at everything real good but I did see: nozzle, jets, solenoids, lines, WOT Switch, purge, and fuel pump.

I think I will continue saving for the Cam and Headers. Although it would be fun to spray it, I really don't feel like having to run around to get the bottle filled, the additional money I'll spend filling the bottles, heating up the bottle to get to correct bottle pressure and so on. I think the gains from CAM/Headers/Off Road Y-Pipe and dyno tune will be enough to keep me happy for a while.

For cheap enough I'd get the kit and have a bit of fun with it then choose the cam/stall combo to maximize the N2O. Oh and I gave $150 for my dry kit complete with bottle off a friend who blew up his LS1 by running it without jets, on stock plugs! NGK TR6's is plug you will need for the N2O if you go that rout.

How much did your times improve with the dry shot?
