Nice truck. Good luck getting it in the 14's with the 5.3 engine. With those mods I think you'll be in the low 15's.

why would this be such a hard task??? I know of quite a few 5.3 ec trucks running very consistent mid 14's with just bolt ons... even TX who's running hish 13's naturally aspirated.... I havent put mine on the track (yet) but I am confident that I'll run mid/low 14's without nitrous... how about a n/a rcsb running mid 12's????? there's more than on on this site....

Maybe I came across the wrong way, I was more commenting on how the new truck feels so sluggish compared to my old one, and no so much "how to get truck in the 14s".

I know it will never be as quick as my RCSB 04', due to its heavier weight, and the much larger tires and wheel setup. The old truck ran a 14.6 with just a FIPK, Nelson tune, and a catback. Id like to think this one would break close to the 14s with the same mods. I have seen time and time again where a set of 20s will kill up to 3 tenths,so Im not going to fight that battle. Futhermore, this is nothing more than a daily driver and I have a few other toys to satisfy me in the field of acceleration.
