Default new truck???

my truck will finally be paid off at the end of september...and i'm thinking of what i can do after it is. first thought was to buy a 99 vette that wasn't to outrageously priced this would be cool to have as a daily and the truck as a hot rod. then i was thinking, well...maybe i'll want to pull a trailer sometime and with a 3600 stall in the Silvy it wouldn't be the best idea so i'm thinking of a new Dodge, reg cab long bed, 2wd Cummins 6 speed, i know it's not chevrolet but the Dmax trucks are way to expensive for me and i can get a dodge as described above for under 19k. whatta you guys think? it would be a great tow vehicle for the truck if i get around to going to the thunder race and the SBSO next year

yeah, the longbed part is the only thing really kililng me on this deal. i might just start looking around here for some diesels...there are tons of them and if you look you can usually find one with exhaust and a chip already, for a pretty decent price. i'd like an 01 dodge cummins, ex cab, auto, 4x4...that's in an ideal world though.

how far are you willing to travel to get one? if you are dead set on that type truck maybe opening up your search area a bit would help you out. then again, you could be looking from az to fl already. if it were me, i would find a used late 90's model chevy diesel and use that for towing. they have to be way cheap by now.

yeah, they would be cheap but that old chevy diesel motor was junk...and the dodges are much more powerful and they are everywhere down here.
