I've seen some guys on another forum do some photo-shop pics of one of these trucks lifted 6-inches with some 37 inch tires........they also color-matched bumpers etc.. I remember when the 2003 body style came out, I thought that was one of the ugliest front-ends ever put on a truck......but I later grew to like it and purchased my SS......................I think in time, people will like the new body style....I for one can see some potential....sort of.

It's like that with several makes/models. But I don't like the fact that my favorite truck has to grow on me. I should like the redesign from the start. I'm going to retract my previous statement about it looking like a Dodge etc. The truth is, the Ram looks like a Dodge and I think they look cool. The Titan looks like a Nissan and it looks alright. This new Silverado doesn't look like a Chevy. I'll say it's trying to look like something else... something it's not. It is a poser. The trucks we all drive today will have to become the 'Classics'. Yes, people will be buying the new bodystyle. Not because they like it, but because their company lease is up and it's time to trade in for the new model... We will see them on the street and after a couple years of minor design changes, they'll start to 'grow on us'. Do me a favor though. Keep the truck you currently have. Hopefully the mods you're doing help to make it Timeless. In 8 years, drop a new motor in it (the one that runs on applejuice, gets 47 MPG, and boasts 500 HP). Your grandkids will inherit your 99-06 Silverado and before you know it, they will be on TV with it 35 years from now, getting 'Overhauled' saying, "My grandfather was the original owner... he drove this truck to work every day. A lot of memories in this truck..."

The color-matched grille makes a world of difference. Make it look less cheap.

I don't like the different size wheels at all. It just doesn't look level or proportioned. IMO.

I actually like it. I wont be getting rid of my tahoe, but I like it ALOT better than the current NBS trucks. People pissed and moaned when they changed the front on the Camaro. How many people still feel the same? I agree it does look a little more like the F150- I prefer to call it "refined". Can you blame them?? The F150 sells like 30% better than their Chevy rivals!! Good for Chevy finally taking some cues from Ford. Hopefully they stay true to the Camaro's retro concept similiar to what ford presented with the mustang. Those things are everwhere now!! A new "retro" camaro will be in my new garage if they stay true to concept. Im very happy with it and look forward to seeing what people do with them.
