If they would have done an old school retro look, that would have been awesome. I'm surprised that they didn't go that route. I think the past looks with modernation is still in, and will be in for time to come.
GM just needs to take chances with style and the not done yet look.
I could have made GM a lot of money if I was their guy that says nay or yay to their new designs shown to me.
I think we all need to write the GM designers and big wigs a letter. They need to know this design is a no no. I just don't understand what they are seeing that makes them think, "this is the look we are after"??????
WHATS THE DEAL GM?????

I guess it will make the 06' and older one's more valuable. I think I'm going to print up some Vortec Max trucks and L59 regular cabs in the current body style for our sales department to order. Judging by what I'm seeing the current truck is going to be more desirable than that new "thing" they call a truck.

GM is trying to differentiate between the brands and even models a lot more. As we see with the SUVs they're not all clones of each other, while some have the same thing here and there, not a carbon copy. And as we now see with the trucks, even they're different then their SUV counterpart. They're prolly making the silverado more of a "work truck" and the sierra more of an upscale truck IMO.

BRING BACK THE 99-02 BODY STYLE PLEASE!!!
I think that a remake of the 99-02 would look great. This one looks a little bit like a combo of the new ford grill, the nissan's buldge (the reason i call it a giant panda), and the ridgeline's cab. So all in all... fugly.

I'm going to guess that GM's "Marketing Test People" drove there in a Toyota Prius or something. Judging from the reactions here they certainly didn't poll THE PEOPLE THAT ACTUALLY PURCHASE THEIR PRODUCT. That being said I'll have my truck for a long time and my next vehicle might break my streak of all Chevys (I've never had a vehicle other than a Chevy titled in my name)
