I'm shooting for 10's all motor and 100% street legal, well .. better make that 90%.

Jerry, some would shoot me for saying this, but don't think that hasn't crossed my mind.

Damn man, you werent kidding. That thing is ugly ! I have seen some unbelievably cool **** come from trucks uglier than that though! Is this something you are going to be doing mostly or is this a shop effort as well? How are your welding skills? That thing really could be crazy!! I would go with a forged 360 with some mildly worked 5.3 heads, nice cam and a 200 shot or so!!!

Something of this caliber would go for around 250 in my area.

Green .. good question. It's going to be all me. I guess you haven't heard about any of it, but I'm trying to get m foot in the door for local performance stuff, so I guess it's gonna be all me as a project truck, for what I'm hoping evolves into a shop. That make any sense at all?

As for welding skills ... they are fixing to get a lot of practice and honing.

Its really too bad you live so far away. Me and the girl were talking about getting into something and performance shop came up. Its still a pipe dream, but finances have always been a strong point with me. I hope to pick up my new welder the day we get into the new house!!
The way things are going with my truck I will have done everything al least once so I soon may know my way around a bit
P.S. Help me with my belt tensioner problem

Go a heads and cam ls1 with a Edelbrock intake and carb setup then hit it with a 250 shot. You could make a cheap 700rwhp for the track and a streetable 450rwhp for the street.Run a non computer turbo 350,a tubed the bed and a narrowed rearend. You'll need to change the name to ugly nasty fast racing.
