Default New here & already have a problem.....

I new to the truck performance world & have a little problem with the magazines out there.

My question to all of you is, Why are the majority of these mags so hard on long boxes. I have a 2002 Long Box Silverado & personaly think that it's a great truck to customize.

Any feedback ?

Frankie

Maybe they think that way due to it weighing more so it will take a little more $$$ to go fast. Please don't get offended cause peoples opinions are just that.

Im just not a fan of how they look unless its a dually or a in a cc truck. I could use the extra length so I could close my tailgate with my toolbox. I like my short bed but to each their own man. If you like the way it looks then go for it man its you truck some people are ignorant and cant stand someone that has a different opinion than them.

Please don't get me wrong, I know everyones entitled to there opinion, it's just the same thing from all, it's a construction truck it sould stay that way. Yes if I had a choice I would take the short box.

I'm getting ready to do a sh*t load of engine & Suspension work.
Any advise on how low I should go. I realy like the 3/5 drop.
with a N2O 408 ARE Stroker Block.

Sounds like fun I am for sure putting a heads and cam 6L in my truck but I mayu go all the way and put a 408 in it. 3/5 should be good Im just not a lowering fan but I wouldnt go any lower than that cause it could settle and be lower and if you do go any lower daily driving is going to be a pain going into gas stations and all.

I always liked the long box on ec and cc. RC always look better with a step side.
