hey guys... I’m new to this forum.. I’ve been on ls1tech a little bit anyway.. I just bought a 2003 white Silverado ECSB w/ a 4.8l .. the first thing I’d like to do is work on the performance I’ll worry about looks later.. I was looking at this short block on eBay I think I might save up for it.. or would a 402 LS2 be better? what kind of heads do I put on it.. I was thinking AFR heads and what cam would be good.. I don’t mind going big cam.. like a T-Rex I’d like to get 500-600+HP when I’m done... I’ll probably do the following as well:
VaraRam King Cobra induction
Wester's'Custom Tuning
Ceramic Coated Hooker Headers
Duel Hooker Mufflers
Delete Cats
4L80E tranny w/ stall & shift kit

What type of rear end should I get? 12 bolt?

Suggestions would be nice?
