Default new build ramblings/questions

I have a lot of brand new parts I never used left over from my old '06 Silverado that im going to put to use on another truck. (Crew cab 1/2 ton for my ol lady.) Ive had a grip of fun toys over the years and its time for her. Just a cool family hauler I can build out of things I already have.

Only major part Id have to buy is a torque converter. What torque converter/stall rpm would you use for a 2003-2006 4door halfton pickup?

5.3 engine/4l60 transmission

Cam specs- 231/240 .627/.607 115LSA

Stock weight/transmission/rear gear.

I want to keep the stall rpm within reason. This isnt a racetruck. Just time for her to have a badass cruiser!

Well.

I'd be worried about PTV clearance with that cam. If you wan't a "cruiser", I'd get a cam with a 110-112 LSA. Chop chop at idle.

You're going to need larger fuel injectors too for that large of cam if the truck is not flex fuel.

Those little 24lb/hr injectors will be maxxed quick.

No prob. I have a new box of injectors left over too that will be overkill for it.

Without milling the heads what kinda power will a 5.3 make cam only with full exhaust/no cats? How much is left on the table compared to milling the heads?
