Default Need Winter wheels for Regency asap!

I just recently got a 04 Sierra RST. I need some winter wheels and tires asap. I just need a little help. First off can anyone confirm that a 17" newer gmc chevy wheel will fit over my brakes and work. Also what should I run for a tire size 265/65/17. Again these will be strictly for winter use with winter dedicated tires. Thanks I need to order these asap before snow.

If you have factory brakes, a 17 will fit no problem...if you have big brakes (like Baer or something like that), I'm not sure...you should check the brake manufacturer's website. (Do RST's come with big brakes?) Check out ebay or the classifieds here and you'll probably find what you're looking for. As for tires, I'm gonna be using Toyo Open Country AT's for my winter meats this year (275/70R 16)...they worked out to be 31.1" tall which is almost a perfect match for my 31" tall Toyo Proxes 285/50 20's. You could also check out BFG AT's, or Bridgestone and see if they make an LT Blizzak.

I like aluminum personally...lightweight, nicer looking, and the factory ones hold up well. I've used my factory aluminum wheels since April of 99 every winter here in New Jersey, and oxidation hasn't been a factor.

The Regency's come with Baer brakes, that is why I want to make sure 17" will work. I was told the stock spare for a RST is a 17" but I dont have one. I found some steel 17" for $200 shipped I just need to make sure they fit

Ahhhh, I see. Maybe check out Baer's website and see what they recommend. I know that alot of "big brake" kits require 18" wheels or something like that. You could try asking the same question in the SS, Gibbs, etc. forum in the GM section here...hopefully some RST owners have the same plan

I believe that you can run the 17" wheel. But, you must remove the cover on the brakes.

Best way to check and make sure is to get under your truck and see what size the spare tire is, if it's a 17", then mount that sucker up and see what happens! But I do know for sure that you need to take the cover off of the brakes. Should be 4 allen screws holding it on there.

Great I am looking at getting some stock Escalade 18's. I found some shipped for $675 with 200 miles on them.
