need tips for finding coolant leak

Default need tips for finding coolant leak

cant find where this coolant is coming from. no where obvious it puddling on the cross member

Probably the rear seal on the water pump. There are no rebuild kits for them, you'll have to buy a new pump if that's the case.

You can get some dye that turns the coolant neon green or get a pressure tester and a mirror.

There is a weep hole drilled in the bottom of the water pump look for light pink staining around this hole. Look at the quick connect fittings on the heater core. Have someone pressure test the system and radiator cap to see if it will hold pressure. Do it dead cold and then hot.

More than likely it is the water pump gaskets.
