Default need opinions: SS Trailblazer

After a couple of years w/o a truck, I've decided it's time to get another.
I'm thinking about the SS Trailblazer('06) and wondered if anyone has driven one, or had experience with them. I understand it's got the LS2 in it, so I'm wondering how it will perform at the track, too.
Haven't been to the dealer yet, but plan on going in the next week or two.

opinions?

Sixpack, I have read "high 13s" from reviews on the internet... the newest Motortrend with the truck buyer's guide tested it in the low 14s for some reason.

I like it, can't wait to see one on the street. I am currently thinking of trading my truck off for the Trailblazer SS or Cherokee SRT 8... but am kind of leaning towards the Cherokee because its supposed to run low 13s and 0-60 in under 5 seconds flat.

The ls2 is a known engine and aftermarket for it is big easier to mod i wouldn't be surprised if you could make one that could out run a Cherokee all day long. For the extra 5 grand on the srt-8 you can make a beast out of that SS. IMO SS

Ya look at the power you can make with the SS
SS=38k
Srt-8= 45k

With the 7k you can make that ss Beat vipers now lol. You would be eating Srt-8's for brunch.

I stopped off at the chevy dealer today on my way home from work today. the only info they had was that the SS trailblazer won't be available till sometime in the spring.

high 13's ain't bad for a grocery getter, IMO,
and everyone knows how the much LSx engines love mods.
hell, just gettin rid of those 20" wheels and puttin on some 17's with some sticky's would shave a few tenths easily.

Stay within Chevy the ls2's are here long enough to have a history unlike the 6.1.
