Default need help with overheating quick guys

Ok my truck cools fine when driving but when I stop in traffic the temp climbs up within 5 minutes. I have a 99 ecsb with a lq4 and i have the 06 electric fans and a new 34 inch radiator. The fans are turning the right way and are running strong. And a few weeks ago I cleaned the condensor so there is little restiction there. I have the fans hooked up on a thermostat so basically they turn on and stay on I just installed a new thermostat so Ill see if that works. The only thing i can think is I have air still in the system. I have been trying to bleed air with little or no luck. Hows the best way to bleed the lines?

Are you sure that the fans are turning in the right direction? if not, the polarity of the plugs need to be reversed. As for bleeding, I always grab the upper hose while filling with coolant, and pull it toward the ground and hold it that way as air bubbles into the reservoir. I squeeze it as I'm pulling it downward, and can feel and hear the air escaping. Repeat the process multiple times until I can no longer feel or hear the air bubbling. I've done this same procedure a gazillion times, on both trucks like ours and other manufacturer's vehicles which are prone to air pockets, and have always had success.
