Default Need Help....HVAC system

I would like to know if I'm the only one who feels that to much fresh air is let into the cab of the truck when recurculate is selected on the dash?

In my other vehicles recurculate just about eliminates all outside odors, with the occasional exceptionally strong odor making its way through.

Not with my truck though, I can smell exhaust fumes, skunk, even some dude smoking his cigarette sometimes.

I took it to chevy and they told me it was normal and all was well.
Can anyone confirm or deny this?
Is there any TSB out there?
Has anyone had a similair experience?

thanks
